September 18th is a special day in our house. Not just because it’s the day before our wedding anniversary (happy 4 years to us, tomorrow!)
Isabella was released from the NICU on September 18, 2010 – 11 days after birth. To celebrate, we met up with a friend after ballet at one of Isabella’s favorite haunts, Pinkberry. You can find us at Pinkberry a lot – like, sometimes twice a week. If you’ve tried their new Greek yogurt salad creations you know you can’t blame me. And my picky little eater loves it.
I had this grand vision of Isabella holding a framed 8×10 picture of herself taken at the hospital the day she was released. I’d love to tell you I did it with her last year but I just didn’t think about it. I’d also love to tell you that I’m going to make it a yearly tradition except she acted as if I put spikes on the picture frame. Please see exhibits A, B.
She’s not picking her nose up there – when she says her name, she points to her nose. At one point, I got this out of her – the fakest smile there ever was:
Our Pinkberry has such beautiful light…
Eventually, we headed outside where I caught this moment:
She’s not looking, but it’s such a genuinely happy face. Happy two years home, Isabella. We love you.
BerylBeautiful post! Happy day for you guys. We will celebrate with you Friday! I am totally bringing my Nikon with me. The light there is too good to pass up. 🙂
Blaire RingYes!!! Can’t wait!!! I’ll be in charge of acting like a fool to get smiles 😉
trishieWhat a sweet little girl!
