Our challenge this week was, appropriately, “mother.” I had a number of ideas all involving my “real” camera and my unwitting husband. But the more I planned these shots for my post, the more I thought how nice it would be to share a few of my favorite real images from this week, showing what being a mother means to me.

2 1/2 years ago, this fleeting moment was all too common. |

On Tuesday it rained so we made Cherry Almond Vanilla cupcakes…Izzy didn’t like the frosting. |

Our weekly trip to the Leesburg Animal Park. |

Being goofy at a store. |

Listening to music and relaxing in the den instead of napping. |

She likes to brush my hair because of the line from the song in Tangled. |
Now, you may still be wondering about the mention of superheros in my post yesterday and confused about how that ties into today’s theme. My friend Beryl’s business coach challenged her to step out of her comfort zone by picking a regular adult activity…and doing it dressed up like a superhero! And who else to be her trusty sidekick other than her beautiful daughter Brielle?
Personally, I felt extra safe having these two by my side. Good people of Leesburg – you’re welcome.
Happy Mother’s Day!! Next, please hop over to Michele’s blog and check out her “mother” image.
